What a real hearing test involves

The audiologist looks inside your ears to check for wax or infection that can affect hearing.

You wear headphones and press a button when you hear beeps. This gives your audiogram, a chart of your hearing.

You repeat words at different volumes. This shows how well you understand speech, not just sounds.

A full test usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. Ask for a copy of your audiogram; you can use it to compare prices at other clinics.
